BIOGRAPHY
Manuela Holzer matriculated from the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2008 and then decided to pursue her passion for art. She initially studied at the University of Witwatersrand, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012. In 2013 she obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education cum laude at the University of Johannesburg. Then, Manuela moved to the Western Cape to study further and received a Master’s degree in Visual Art from the University of Stellenbosch in 2016. She currently resides in Cape Town and furthers her artistic practice by creating sculptures of female figures in various media, exploring the notion of extreme psychological and emotional states. Manuela is also currently a PhD candidate in Fine Arts creative production at the University of Pretoria.
